  • We then set up peer work stations so that students could practice presenting their causes to each other and peers could give feedback prior to the final presentations on Monday

    • Research and choose a cause that you are interested in
    • Research and choose an association/organization that helps that cause in Ontario
    • Finally, start working on your Tâche 3, use www.wordreference.com to look up unknown vocabulary
mercredi, le 15 novembre - Irregular Verbs: Pouvoir, Vouloir and Devoir


  • Today we learned 3 new irregular verbs with -oir endings
  • We took notes during the PowerPoint on the 3 verbs and then completed 3 worksheets on them (translation, conjugation, and a crossword)
    • For the crossword you will need to use www.verb2verbe.com to research the present tense of the irregular verb voir - to see
  • Ms. Valani's class: when you are finished the 3 verb handouts, use the time to make a Quizlet on the body part vocabulary in French
  • Devoirs: Complete all of the handouts given in class as well as create and practice your Quizlet on body part vocabulary.
  • Rappel: our next quiz is on Tuesday and will cover all that we have done since the last quiz. This includes: l'impératif, body part vocabulary and the three -oir verbs.

  • Today we continued to study body part vocabulary (Quizlet + crossword)
  • We then read about a fundraiser "Le Lave-a-thon" on pages 6 and 7 of the textbook and completed questions (handout)
  • Finally, students were given their tâche for the unit

  • Today we learned about the imperative tense in French
  • Next we learned French vocabulary for different body parts
  • Finally we played the game Simon says (Simon dit...) in French to practice the imperative tense and body parts vocabulary

  • Next we worked on matching the causes to their symbols on pages 4 and 5 of your textbook "Trouve ta cause!"
  • Start thinking about a social issue that is dear to your heart this will be relevant for this unit's tâche so make sure to research something that interests you.

  • Finally we discussed tache 2 (our final assignment) for this unit.

  • Today we learned three different ways to ask questions in French. Students took notes and completed activities on slide 14 and 15.
  • We then read the story on pg. 7-9 of our textbooks individually, making a list of unfamiliar words and looking them up on wordreference.com as well as underlining the verbs in the story.

  • Today we look at the map of the world in French and identified the countries where French is spoken.
  • We then learned two irregular verbs: faire and aller by taking a look at the activities to do and places to go to in Martinique.
  • Finally we learned about a wide variety of emotions and how to express our feelings in French.
